“When I was 5 my mom and I were in a car accident on our way to see Disney on Ice. Pinned in my car seat, an officer came to my side to calm me down as they tried to get me out, and he saw the stuffed Dumbo toy in my hand. He began to sing ‘Baby Mine’ to me through the broken glass, and was able to keep me relaxed until I was finally pulled out. My mom didn’t make it, but I did, and it’s solely because of that officer and our shared love of Disney”
